In five years, I hope to have already had one or two internships in the Los Angeles area that merges my passion for my English major and journalism. After that, I plan on securing a job in the book editing and publishing industry. Whether this means I am involved in the editing process itself or involved in marketing books, I am open to those possibilities. There is the option of moving to New York since that is the hub of publishing, but I am also interested in other major cities on the west coast, like Seattle or Portland. Either location, I hope to be on my way to becoming an editor and being a part of the process that brings books into the world.
